Jeff Miller, UW Communications senior photographer, joined UW-Madison in 1990 at the same time as Bob Hamers. In his retrospective “Then and Now: 25 Years Photographing UW-Madison“, Miller is providing monthly highlights how the campus has changed in the last 25 years. Staff and Postdoc positions available
The Hamers group currently has several openings for Ph.D. level personnel. Both positions are associated with the NSF-funded Center for Sustainable Nanotechnology
Managing Director: The Managing Director position is a permananent academic staff position requiring a Ph.D. in chemistry or related field, plus 2 years of post-Ph.D. experience. This position focuses on project management and facilitating effective collaboration among student, faculty and staff at multiple institutions to achieve center-wide goals. Postdoc/Staff: A second position is available at the postdoctoral level focusing on the scalable synthesis of nanoparticles via several different means. The ideal candidate would have interest and/or expertise in scalable synthesis of novel nanomaterials via solution-phase, hydrothermal, and/or spray pyrolysis methods.
